BEND, Ore. (AP) — For the third time in less than two years a police dog tracked down Jason Daryl Walter after a chase in Bend.
A Deschutes County sheriff's deputy had tried to pull him over Sunday for a traffic stop, but he took off and fled on foot.
KTVZ reports (http://bit.ly/Ux9RLM ) he was found less than an hour later hiding in rocks along the Deschutes River Trail.
Walter also was arrested after chases last year and in 2011. He's jailed on a parole violation.
