PORTLAND – Officers arrested a 19-year-old man who allegedly robbed a Latin market in Northeast Portland Saturday, police said.
Just before 12:30 p.m., Toby Wylie used a wooden 2 x 2 stick to strike a victim and take money from the Maria Tienda Mexicana at 11146 NE Halsey Street, said Sgt. Pete Simpson with Portland police.
A store employee chased Wylie from the market and arriving officers quickly located him and arrested him without incident, Simpson said.
He was charged with robbery and assault and was booked in the Multnomah County Jail.
