TIGARD, Ore. -- Six stolen vehicles were recovered during a raid at a Tigard "chop shop," police said.

A tip led police to Affordable Automotive, at 13080 SW Pacific Highway in Tigard, where a search warrant was served after a week-long investigation, according to Jim Wolf of the Tigard Police Department.

"During the course of the search, four stolen vehicles were located," Wolf said. "Aside from the four stolen vehicles discovered during the search, Tigard Police were led to a location in Sherwood whereby two additional vehicles were recovered."

Two Tigard men, 46-year-old Christopher Ford Ankeny (pictured, right) and 66 year-old William David Plantz, were charged with trafficking in stolen vehicles, possession of stolen vehicles and unauthorized use of a stolen vehicle.

A special agent from the National Insurance Crime Bureau assisted Tigard Police with the investigation.
