PORTLAND – Police are investigating vandalism at two banks in Southeast Portland overnight.

Investigators believe the vandalism occurred just after midnight at the Key Bank at 4131 SE Hawthorne Boulevard and the Wells Fargo Bank at 3782 SE Hawthorne Boulevard.

“Officers arrived at both locations to find windows broken at both banks. River rocks were recovered at the scene. Key Bank sustained one broken window while Wells Fargo sustained two. No entry was made at either location,” explained Sgt. Pete Simpson with the Portland Police Bureau.

He added that a witness told police they heard glass breaking but investigators have not been able to compile any suspect information.
