VANCOUVER - Investigators have located a second body they think is linked to an empty kayak found in the Columbia River last week.

Last Friday, the body of 51-year-old Teddi Watanabe was found in the Columbia River near the Interstate 205 Bridge. An empty two-person kayak was later found not far away on Government Island.

A homeowner Thursday found the body of Watanabe's boyfriend, 50-year-old Bradley Lynch of Gresham, near Evergreen Highway and Ellsworth Road, according to Vancouver police.

Both died of hypothermia, a medical examiner said.

"The clothing they were wearing would most likely not allow them to survive long in the cold water," police spokesperson Kim Kapp said.

Police said there would be no criminal investigation in the case and it was considered accidental.
