PORTLAND – Crews had to set up a rope and pulley system to rescue a woman whose vehicle went over an embankment and rolled in Southwest Portland Monday.
The vehicle landed upside down in a small drainage near 9725 SW 18th Place just after 1 p.m.
Firefighters said the embankment was quite steep and they used a rope system to help get her back up the hill, according to Lt. Damon Simmons with Portland Fire & Rescue.
The driver was transported to Oregon Health and Science University’s trauma unit. Investigators said she was the only person in the vehicle when it crashed.
