EUGENE, Ore. (AP) — A Lane County sheriff's deputy and his wife have been critically injured while vacationing in Los Cabos, Mexico.
A sheriff's spokeswoman told The Register-Guard (http://is.gd/zDhdY2 ) that Deputy Drew Wattier and his wife Michelle were struck by a hit-and-run driver Friday evening while walking just outside their hotel.
Both are in critical but stable condition.
