CORVALLIS, Ore. -- A 13-year-old student allegedly slashed a fellow classmate with a box cutter at Santiam Christian School Wednesday, police said.
The attack occurred on school grounds after a class had ended, as first reported by the Albany Democrat Herald.
The victim suffered a cut to his arm and was treated at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center.
The suspect, an eighth-grader, was expelled from school and will face felony charges of menacing and third-degree assault.
Investigators told KGW there were conflicting reports over what led up to the violence; the two were reportedly arguing over money, but the suspect said that kids were making fun of him.
