PORTLAND – Officers seized nearly 4 pounds of heroin and meth during a raid at an apartment complex in Gresham Tuesday.

A traffic stop led officers to the home at 20300 SE Morrison Terrace in Gresham. Officers said they found heroin in the car and then decided to investigate the suspect’s home as well.

“Two ounces of suspected heroin was recovered by the Deputy's drug K9, Spencer after the suspect was observed throwing packages from the window of the vehicle as it stopped on I-84,” said Lt. Steve Alexander with the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office.

Byron Reyes-Escobar, 29, and Juventino IslasCampos, 25, were arrested and charged with possession of heroin and unlawful delivery of heroin. Escobar was also charged with possession and unlawful delivery of methamphetamine.

Both were transported and lodged at the Multnomah County Detention Center.
