MCMINNVILLE -- Authorities arrested two boys Thursday in connection with a string of burglaries and vandalism including breaking the windows of several businesses during the past month, police said.

An 11-year-old and a 14-year-old boy will appear in juvenile court to answer charges of burglary, criminal mischief and theft after they allegedly broke into businesses in southwest McMinnville, said Capt. Dennis Marks with the McMinnville Police Department.

Businesses including the Foot Health Center, Juliette's House, and Healing Arts, all had windows broken, some on several occasions.

Juliette's House, a non-profit child abuse assessment facility, was broken into another time and rooms ransacked.

The G & S Market at 901 Southwest Baker Street was broken into with numerous packs of cigarettes and cans of chewing tobacco stolen from the business.

At Northwest Print on Southwest Baker Street a tire was slashed in the parking lot.

Police found evidence of the crimes in the residences of the the two boys after neighbors provided information to police, Marks said. The 14-year-old was held in juvenile detention.
