PORTLAND - It's rare that it takes days and the help of Portland Police to track down your truck parked downtown - but that's what happened to a couple visiting from Indiana.
Ronald and Shelbie Rasmussen arrived Monday with plans to visit the Portland Art Museum. But they got so turned around, they spent two-full days searching for where they parked their truck.
The two ended up hiring a taxi for several hours to speed up the search before finally calling police. Shelbie said she told her husband to take the parking ticket with them, but he left it in the truck.
“Do what your wife tells you,” Ronald said. “I’ve had to swallow a lot of pride but it's worth it.”
The truck was finally found at the garage four blocks from the museum.
