PORTLAND – The Portland Waterfront Blues Festival kicks off Wednesday with four days of music including James Cotton, Booker T and the Steve Miller Band, among the dozens of big names.

More than 100,000 fans were expected to attend the annual event aimed at also helping the Oregon Food Bank.

The festival is held along the banks of the Willamette River just south of the Hawthorne Bridge. A suggested donation is $10 plus two cans of food.

All donations support the Oregon Food Bank. The festival also offers special passes with four levels of perks.
