BEAVERTON -- A Beaverton man and his grandson had to be pried from their vehicle after a collision Saturday afternoon at SW 170th Avenue and Farmington Road.

Elder Morris, 45, and his grandson were removed from the Nissan Pathfinder with the Jaws of Life device. Both were taken to Oregon Health & Sciences University. Morris had non-life threatening injuries and the boy was not injured.

Washington County sheriff's deputies said as Morris was driving through the intersection, Yuriy Nyukeyev, 19, of Woodland, Wash., turned into his path and struck the rear of the Nissan. This caused the Nissan to roll twice.

Nyukeyev had minor injuries and his passenger Kirill Yukhimchuk, 15, was taken to St. Vincent hospital for minor injuries.

Nyukeyev was cited for careless driving.
