THE DALLES, Ore. -- More than five pounds of methamphetamine with a $200,000 street value was seized from two Californians during a recent traffic stop near The Dalles, according to state police.
The meth was concealed inside a 2002 Dodge pickup, which Oregon State Police pulled over on Wednesday morning heading eastbound on Interstate 84, according to Lt. Gregg Hastings.
Luis Pulido-Aguilar, a 26-year-old Redwood City resident, and San Jose 24-year-old Octavio Soto-Alvarado were arrested and charged with possession, distribution and meth manufacturing.
Hastings said Pulido-Aguilar faced additional charges for lying about his identity and using another person's driver license.
Both suspects were jailed at the Northern Oregon Regional Correctional Facility in The Dalles and faced additional residency investigation from the Department of Homeland Security.
