PENDLETON, Ore. -- An Pilot Rock high school teacher and coach is facing sex charges involving four teenage girls.
An Umatilla County grand jury in Pendleton indicted 37-year-old Kevin Mathew Nice on Friday.
He is being held in the Umatilla County jail on $1 million bail.
The charges include one county of first-degree sodomy; three counts of first-degree sexual penetration; three counts of first-degree sexual abuse; eight counts of second-degree sexual abuse; one count of luring a minor; six counts of attempted use child sexual display; 10 counts of third-degree sexual abuse and two counts of official misconduct.
Police arrested Nice without incident Friday in Union County.
Prosecutors say Nice had sexual contact with four high school-age girls he knew as a teacher and coach at Pilot Rock High, according to the Pendleton East Oregonian.
The incidents alleged in the indictment occurred from September 2007 through November 2009. No other details were released.
The Pilot Rock School District lists the following biography on its staff page. It reads in part:
This is my 12th year of teaching, all in Pilot Rock. I am currently teaching Wellness and Health.
