SALEM, Ore. -- What’s old is new when it comes to the latest license plate unveiled by Oregon officials.

Pacific Wonderland is a remake of the plate issued from 1959 through 1964 in honor of Oregon's centennial.

The new version, in honor of Oregon's 150th birthday, went on sale March 1. Only 40,000 sets will be available.

State senators Rick Metsger and Betsy Johnson worked together to pass a law allowing the re-issue.

Proceeds benefit the Oregon Historical Society.
