OREGON CITY, Ore. -- A body pulled from the Willamette River on Wednesday was identified as a Springfield man who fell from a cliff while fishing in late March.
Dive teams searched near the Oregon City-West Linn Bridge after Ricky Lee Bond, 47, fell back on March 31st, but they were not able to find him.
Then, on Wednesday, several fishermen in boats near Meldrum Bar saw what appeared to be a body floating in the water and contacted police. The Clark County Marine Patrol responded and pulled the man's body from the water.
Bond was later identified through an autopsy.
