ESTACADA, Ore. -- The presumed body of a Portland man lost while tubing Thursday night near Carver Park on the Clackamas River was found Friday, officials said.

A friend called 911 to report that 23-year-old Fernando "Ivan" Ortega Becerra had gone missing just upriver from the park at about 8:40 p.m., according to Sgt. Adam Phillips of the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office.

Searchers found a body about 600 feet downstream, officials said.

Becerra was last seen swimming toward his inner tube, as the rest of his group moved upstream and lost sight of him.

This was the first CCWRC rescue effort of this summer.
