PORTLAND, Ore. -- Detectives found the bodies of two adults and a child in Southeast Portland Thursday.

It happened at the home on SE 123rd Avenue, south of Stark Street. Police confirmed the discovery of three bodies at 10 a.m.

A man claiming to be a relative of one of the victims said the alleged shooter and his longtime girlfriend were going through a breakup.

He said he thinks the shooting occurred days ago.

The bodies were discovered Thursday when a family member gained entry to the rental house with the landlord.

The couple have a 4-year-old son, but it was unknown if he was a victim.
