PORTLAND -- A pedestrian was hit and trapped underneath a Portland MAX train at Southeast 94th Avenue and Southeast Division Street Sunday.
Emergency crews were working to free the person. Portland Fire & Rescue said the victim was still alive but there was no update on his or her condition.
Just after 4 p.m. the pedestrian was hit by a Green Line MAX train and pinned underneath the rail car. Rescue crews were using equipment to lift the car off the track.
Shuttle buses were providing alternative service between the Gateway Transit and the Clackamas Town Center while the Green Line rail service was disrupted.
