SALEM – Someone won the $2.2 million Megabucks℠ jackpot on August 29, 2009, but it appears that they don’t realize their good fortune.

No one has claimed the money yet, and soon the deadline for collecting the millions will pass by.

The winning ticket for the 2009 drawing was sold in Milwaukie and matched all six numbers: 3-24-25-35-40-43.

So check your tickets, check your friends tickets, check to see if you had any visitors in late August who bought tickets, and then if you are a winner, be sure to reveal yourself at the Lottery office in Salem before 5 p.m., Monday, August 30th – or you’ll luck will have run out.

“Next, check the glove box and console in your vehicle. Search under the cushions in every chair and sofa in the house. Investigate that drawer in the kitchen where things seem to disappear. Check the kids’ toy box or anywhere in the house where you’re sure it just couldn’t be,” urged Lottery spokesman Ray Martin.

So far, players have won more than $701 million in prizes, since the Megabucks game made its debut in 1985. There were a total of 8,124 winning tickets in the August 29, 2009 drawing, but only one jackpot winner.

Players can check their Megabucks tickets on “Did I Win?” terminals at Lottery retailers or through the Lottery web site.

The Lottery recommends that you always sign the back of your tickets with each Oregon Lottery game you play, to help ensure you can claim any prize you may win.
