PORTLAND -- A North Portland man has been accused of drugging and sexually assaulting several women, police said.
Marlin Brandt Pohlman, 43, was arrested for several sex crimes as he returned from Thailand to Portland International Airport early Wednesday morning, said Portland Police Sgt. Pete Simpson.
Detectives interviewed four women who accused Pohlman of injecting them with drugs and sexually assaulting them while they were unconscious, Simpson said. Investigators located what they believed was a drug lab at Pohlman's home, in the 7100 block of North Chase Avenue.
Neighbors were stunned to learn of the allegations as police gathered evidence from the house and garage.
"We all watch out for everybody," said Jeanne Cullen, who lives nearby. "I don't think anybody on the street expected any of this."
Pohlman was jailed on 25 charges, including two counts each of kidnapping and rape, and four counts of causing someone to ingest a controlled substance. His bail was set at more than $2 million.
Detectives said there may have been additional victims. Anyone with information was asked to call detective Tracy Chamberlin at (503) 823-0400 or send an email to Tracy.Chamberlin@PortlandOregon.gov.
