PORTLAND -- The Portland Trail Blazers are selling the naming rights to the Rose Garden arena and announced Monday a partnership with the firm responsible for naming O.co Coliseum and Pizza Hut Park.

The team is working with sports sales firm Premier Partnerships to sell the naming rights, said Trail Blazers President Chris McGowan.

“Finding a naming rights partner for the Rose Garden is one of our priorities entering the new calendar year," McGowan said. “We’re confident that we will find a partner that the city of Portland and the Trail Blazers brand can proudly associate with."

Premier has worked with professional teams in all major league sports, said spokesman Matt Pope.

"Premier’s naming rights successes for sports venues include the Oakland A’s and Raiders’ O.co Coliseum, the Philadelphia Union’s PPL Park, San Diego State University’s Viejas Arena and (former) Pizza Hut Park in Dallas, TX," he said. "Premier also secured the naming rights of Dolby Theatre (home of the Academy Awards) and TCL Chinese Theatre (formerly Grauman’s Chinese Theatre)."

The Rose Garden is home to the Portland Trail Blazers and Winterhawks, as well as host to concerts, conventions and other productions all year long.
