TIGARD – A boil-water notice was issued for Tigard after E. coli was found during testing.

Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue officials said the alert affects the water in most of Tigard, King City and the Bull Mountain neighborhood.

MAP of affected area

Tap water used for drinking, food preparation, brushing teeth, washing dishes and making ice should be heated to a full rolling boil for at least one minute.

Any consumables-such as ice or beverages-made with tap water after Sunday, November 18 should be thrown out, officials said. Tests results were expected Thursday morning.

Investigators have not yet determined the source of the contamination. For more information on possible health effects, visit www.tigard-or.gov.
