MILWAUKIE, Ore. – Police are hoping a sketch of a sex abuser will help them track down a suspect in a Milwaukie attack.

The investigation involves an attack on a woman in her apartment in the 8100 block of SE Lake Road, in unincorporated Milwaukie, on September 11.

The woman told police she entered the hallway of her apartment complex and a man offered to hold her apartment door open for her. Then, she said, he forced his way inside and sexually assaulted her.

She described her attacker as being in his late 40s or early 50s, about 5-foot-8, average weight, with brown short hair and gray eyes. He was last seen wearing a dark blue T-shirt, gray sweatpants, and tan work boots. He also had a unique mustache. (See sketch above, right)

The man fled the apartment on foot and was gone when police arrived.

Anyone with information that may help investigators was urged to contact the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office tip line at (503) 723-4949, or by using the online e-mail form.

The public can also submit crime-tip text messages to the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office from a cell phone, by sending a text message to CRIMES (274637 on your phone keypad) -- with the keyword CCSO as the first word in the message body.
