BEAVERTON – Beaverton were asking for help to find a man accused of brutally attacking his estranged wife and her companion early Saturday morning.

His estranged wife and another man suffered serious injuries in the attack.

"I remember thinking people die from getting hit like this," said April Hinderer.

The former couple’s three young children were in the home to see the attack at the time, police said. Beaverton police were looking for 30-year-old Phillip Howell.

"He needs to be punished," said Hinderer.  "It's logical."

He was described a black male, 6-feet tall, weighing 165 pounds with short, black hair.

He drives a blue 2001 Dodge Caravan with WA plate ACF1073. Howell also has ties to Woodburn and Salem.
