PORTLAND – Detectives were looking for whoever left a note attached to a box containing a heart at the front door of a Northwest Portland home.
Officers were called Wednesday to the 2300 block of Northwest Flanders Street. They were unsure exactly where it was from and brought it to the Oregon State Medical Examiner’s Office, where it was determined that the heart was a beef heart.
Residents told police they had no idea why the heart was left at their house.
Police did not disclose what the attached note said.
