BOISE -- A former state prison guard and Boise State University football player will be spending one year in prison.
Timothy Gilligan, 28, was sentenced today.
He pleaded guilty back in September to burglary in a deal struck with Ada County prosecutors.
Gilligan was originally charged with two counts of having sexual contact with a female inmate in 2007.
Gilligan played wide receiver for the Broncos between 2000 and 2003.
