SEATTLE (AP) — Lt. Gov. Brad Owen's 37-year-old son Mark is in satisfactory condition Tuesday at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, and the man accused of shooting him is in critical condition.

Police say Owen was wounded in the arm and abdomen Monday in a workplace shooting in Kent. Owen is a partner with Carlos Fernandez in a paint and body shop for semi-trucks, KBP & Fabrications.

Kent police say 63-year-old Fernandez shot Owen during an argument then shot himself in the head. The hospital reports he remained Tuesday in the intensive care unit.

Brad Owen said his son has worked for Fernandez for about three years, recently becoming a business partner. But the lieutenant governor said the two had a rocky relationship.
