SPOKANE, Wash. -- Paramedics took two adults and four children to a local hospital following a Spokane house fire.
It broke out around 6:45 a.m. on Central near Haven.
Fire crews immediately began searching for the residents as they arrived. It took several minutes before all of them were accounted for.
One of the adults and two of the children were immediately transported to the hospital. The other three were transported shortly after. There is no word yet on the extent of their injuries.
A cause has not been determined, but the fire department says the flames sparked in the basement.
