An Amber Alert was issued after 3-year-old Alvin Barnett was abducted by his father in Elk Valley, British Columbia. Authorities believe the child is in "imminent danger."

Authorities say the boy's father, identified as 39-year-old Robert Barnett, was last seen crossing the Canadian border at Eureka, Montana, in a blue 2002 Subaru Outback with BC license plate 347SBL at around 3:15 p.m. Thursday. If you see the vehicle, do not approach it; instead, call 911 immediately.

Alvin Barnett, 3, is described as a white male, 3 foot 2 inches tall, around 33 lbs and has brown hair. He was wearing a red shirt with blue jeans when he was abducted.

Robert Barnett, 39, is described as a white male, 5 feet 5 inches tall with reddish blond hair. Authorities say he has a scar above his right eye brow and was wearing a dark sweater, blue jeans and runners.

If you see the two or the vehicle, call 911 immediately.
