PORTLAND - The Dalai Lama will visit Portland in May 2013 for a series of public talks and discussions.

His Holiness, now 77, has events scheduled over the course of three days from May 9 to 11. The tentative schedule includes a public talk on Saturday, May 11 as well as a symposium and several panel discussions with spiritual, environmental and scientific leaders.

Maitripa College is hosting the visit, and several of the events are being held in conjunction with the University Portland.

The Dalai Lama filled Pioneer Square during his last visit to Portland back in 2001.
