WASHINGTON, D.C. - Daylight-saving time is returning early Sunday with that extra hour of sunshine after work.
The official moment is 2 a.m. local time Sunday, though most people will set their clocks ahead by one hour before going to bed on Saturday night.
Fire officials say this is also a good time to check the batteries in the smoke alarms in your home.
Daylight-saving time ends Nov. 7 when clocks will be set back one hour.
