It's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity: Going to the Super Bowl! If you're not on the field, the average ticket price can climb to $3,000.

Bud Light is giving one lucky person the chance to experience this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity 51 times. That’s right, the beer brand has a contest running from now through Jan. 13.

It’s putting 37,000 gold beer cans into regular boxes. If you find one, you have a chance to win tickets to the next 51 Super Bowls.

You might be wondering, what are the chances of actually finding one?

We figured out Bud Light sells around 280 million cases of the beer each year, according to numbers from 2012 and 2013. Assuming those are all cans in 18 packs, that would be around 420 million cans every single month. Multiply that by two for the two months this contest is going on, and you get 840 million cans.

That means with 37,000 gold cans out there about 1 in 25,000 is gold. However, only 1 out of those 840 million cans will be the grand prize winner.

“I think you'd have to buy an awful lot of beer to have any chance,” one shopper at a local grocery store said.

Another disagreed and said she’d stock up on the beer while the contest is going on.

“The lottery I wouldn't do because I don't want to throw my money away,” she explained. “At least with this, I'm going to get Budweiser with it that we're going to drink anyways.”

If you don't want to buy all that beer, you might want to read the fine print of the contest. You could just print out a golden label.
