NEAR COLTON, Wash. - The Principal of Colton High School confirms hunter Glen Voshell, who taught science at the school, was found dead Monday morning after a two-day search in the Palouse.
The Whitman County Sheriff said the 45-year-old Voshell is from Pullman had been missing since Saturday morning. Voshell went out bird hunting in an area west of Colton. His family said it's an area they have hunted in for years and he knew it well. When he didn't come home Saturday night, they went looking for him.
They found Voshell's truck parked along Rimrock Road, but he was not with it. Sunday, the Sheriff's office brought out 150 people and two helicopters to search. The search resumed Monday morning at daylight and they found Voshell's body.
Search and Rescue volunteers were on ATV's, horseback and on foot searching the area.
Overnight temperatures were13 degrees the last two nights.
