SPOKANE, Wash. -- The Spokane Police Department has one person in custody after they were caught trying to break into a car on Spokane's South Hill Tuesday night.
Police said they got a call about a burglary and possible shooting on 29th Avenue between Bernard Street and Howard Street. When they arrived, they found the suspect had been detained by an owner who chased after him.
The homeowner told police she saw the dome light on in her car and when she went outside she saw the suspect in the car. Police said the woman then called for her husband and both chased after the suspect.
Officers said they did find a realistic looking B.B. gun on the suspect.
