Seven people injured in DUI crash on I-90 in Spokane

SPOKANE, Wash. – Washington State Patrol officials said seven people were injured in a DUI crash early Sunday morning.

According to authorities, Ethan Belcourt, 19, was headed west on I-90 near Division around midnight when he switched lanes striking another car driven by Victoria Thompson, 36. WSP leaders said both Belcourt and Thompson were injured.

Officials said Belcourt was not wearing a seatbelt. All of his passengers were injured in the crash, including a 15 and 16-year-old. Tyler Brayton, 18, and Savannah Belcourt, 19, were the other two passengers who were injured, according to officials.  

Thompson’s passenger, Shannon Galena, 31, was also injured. Everyone was transported to Sacred Heart.

WSP officials said drugs or alcohol was a factor in the crash. Charges of DUI, obstruction and no valid operator license are expected to be filed.
