Power restored after Spokane Valley outage

UPDATE: Crews restored power to around 1,600 people in Spokane Valley after a power outage Saturday afternoon.

No word on what caused the outage. 

Saturday night, a pole fire in the Geiger Heights and Marshall area knocked out power for more than 200 Avista customers. To see an outage map, click here.

SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. -- Avista Utilities reported a power outage on their website just before 2:30 p.m. 

According to the site, the cause of the power outage is under investigation. 

Crews are heading to the area. Power is expected to be restored around 4:30 p.m., according to the website.
