Crews quickly extinguish barn fire in Spokane Valley

SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. – Crews were quick to extinguish a barn fire near East 12th Avenue and South Robie Street on Friday morning.

Spokane Valley Fire Department officials said a tree also caught fire. Flames were as high as 60 feet in the area.

Authorities said the cause of the fire might have been a wood stove. SVFP confirmed that there were no injuries.

Firefighters said that during the process of parking, a white commercial van backed into their fire truck and then sped off.
