Cause of Otis Orchards infant's death 'undetermined'

SPOKANE, Wash. – The Spokane County Medical Examiner said the cause of death is "undetermined" for a young boy who died at Sacred Heart after being found not breathing at his home in late August.

Officials from the Medical Examiner's Office said there was no obvious cause of death found for 24-days-old Quentin David Warren. They said sometimes there are no discernable explanations for deaths of young children.

In August, deputies and emergency responders were called for a three-week-old baby not breathing at a home near East Wellesley Avenue and North Campbell Road. Court documents state fire officials requested deputies due to “questionable circumstances” at the home.

Melissa McCormick and Sean Warren, the child’s parents, are being investigated for homicide and criminal mistreatment of a child in the first degree.
