2 Killed, Firefighter injured in Spokane Fire

SPOKANE, Wash. --- A fire at a North Spokane apartment complex killed two people Wednesday afternoon.

The Rosewood Club Apartments on Magnesium Road in Spokane caught fire just after 4 p.m. Two people died in the fire, and a firefighter suffered from second and third degree burns, according to officials.  The victims were not identified by officials, though they did specify the two victims were a man and a woman.

It happened on the 400 block of Magnesium Road. By 4:30. the blaze was categorized as a two alarm fire.


The Red Cross is mobilizing a team of disaster responders to help the victims of the fire. The response team will meet with all affected to ensure immediate needs are met. At this time, the Red Cross is not accepting any type of goods donations such as clothing or household items for the families impacted. 

Officials said 24 units were in the section of the apartments that burned.

No word on what caused the fire.
