Scary clown arrest made in Southern Oregon

CENTRAL POINT, Ore. – Police in Southern Oregon have arrested a man who participated in the scary clown frenzy that has taken over most of the country.

Police were first shown pictures of the person holding a sign that said “We Are Here” at Crater, North Medford, South Medford and Eagle Point high schools.

Central Point Police says they identified the man as 21-year-old Michael Richards. They also said in a Facebook post that Richards sent out the photos.

He was lodged into the Jackson County Jail and faces charges for disorderly conduct and second-degree trespassing.

There will be an extra police presence at the schools for the rest of the week.
