KELLOGG, Idaho – It is time to get your skis and snowboards ready for the season.
A lot of snow feel in the mountains through the Thanksgiving weekend and families are getting their first taste of winter.
The Hogg family has been waiting anxiously for the snow.
“Nice to be out in the snow again. It's been a long summer. The family loves skiing, loves tubing,” said Jason Hogg.
Up on Silver Mountain on Friday, there were nothing but smiles as families lined up to race down the bunny hill.
“As a family we are out here as much as we can be,” said Jason.
Several inches of snow allowed the Silver Mountain staff to open the bunny hill. Making it the first resort to partially open its doors this winter season.
But the bone chilling cold is what the Hogg family has been waiting for for quite some time.
Silver Mountain staff said they still need a foot of snow to fully open to all skiers and snowboarders this season.
