Trees aren't just good for carbon sequestration. They're also good for wishing.
After a celebration of life a few weeks ago in lower Queen Anne, a group of friends tagged a nearby tree with a few wishes about their loved one.
Their wishes grew.
Now, the tree near the canal bike path off Nickerson Street is covered with wishes. They range from "I wish for my mom to be cancer free" to "I wish for pandas to mate and increase in population."
Attached to the trunk are a pen and tags, ready for the hopeful to write down their deepest desire.
KING 5 tested the tree. Our crew waited for a couple hours on a rainy day, but no one showed up to interview about the tree. So, we wished for an interview.
About fifteen minutes later, two students showed up.
