Parents alerted after man approached elementary students

BOISE -- School officials at Cynthia Mann Elementary School near Hill Road and Castle Drive in northwest Boise alerted parents after they say someone approached two of their students walking home from school.

School officials say Boise Police was contacted following Tuesday's incident.

The students told police and parents a man approached them south of the school on Blue Grass Avenue.

Police spokeswoman Haley Williams says while it is concerning that the man made contact with the students, there was not an attempted enticement.  She says the children did the right thing by telling their parents about the incident and subsequently reporting it to the school and police.
