Man and woman assaulted in Lewiston home robbery

LEWSITON, Idaho -- Deputies from the Nez Perce County Sheriff’s Office responded to a home on Lindsay Creek Road to report of a robbery on Thursday and are asking for help identifying the suspects.

When deputies arrived, they were informed that two men dressed in dark clothing and wearing ski masks had entered the home through an unlocked door and then into a bedroom.

Deputies said the suspects took a purse that belonged to the female victim which contained money and prescription medication.

The suspects then struck and shoved the victim into the closet then ran outside the bedroom.

The male victim then confronted the suspects in an attempt to stop them. The suspects beat him with a lamp and he suffered gashes around his head and arms. He was also struck by one of the suspects with a large piece of iron.

Both suspects fled on foot south of the residence. One suspect should have defensive wounds on his forearms, shoulders and possibly head.

During the attack, one of the subjects said the name of Justin while he walking to the other suspect, telling him they needed to leave.

One suspect was described as short and stocky, while the other was identified as tall and skinny.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Nez Perce County Sheriff’s Office at 208-799-3131.
