Grammy award-winning musician George Winston is one of the most recognized solo pianists in the world.
Over the last forty-plus years, he's released thirteen solo piano albums, and he's currently finishing up two new full-length recordings. He also incorporates harmonica and Hawaiian slack key guitar in all of his performances.
On New Day Northwest, Winston performed on harmonica, an instrument he first picked up and taught himself to play back in 1975!
Since 1986, Winston has been raising money for food banks and service organizations and will continue to do so by working with a local food bank in every tour market to hold a canned food drive at the show and also by donating 100% of proceeds from the sale of his merchandise to the organization.
Winston is performing in concert this Saturday night, September 17th at 8pm at Benaroya Hall.
