KCSO reminds people to lock their cars to prevent burglaries

COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho --- On Thursday, five burglaries near East Hayden View Drive and East Lookout Drive in Coeur d’Alene were reported.

The Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office believes the incidents happened between 10 p.m. on Nov. 16 and 4 a.m. on Nov. 17.

Items from four of the five vehicles were stolen. Some of the items that were stolen include, a purse, a knife, a garage door opener and money.

The KCSO wants to remind everyone to lock their vehicle to prevent burglaries. These individuals will walk around neighborhoods at night looking for unlocked vehicles to steal things out of.
