COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho -- The City of Coeur d'Alene is ramping up its unpaid parking ticket collections.
A city spokesperson told KREM 2 that Coeur d'Alene recently agreed to start working with a collections agency.
City of Coeur d'Alene officials said they have 30,000 outstanding parking tickets. That amounts to a total of $300,000 in fines that have gone uncollected by the city.
The spokesperson said it was not clear why violators have been getting away without paying their tickets.
