Man exposes himself near Gresham playground, police say

GRESHAM, Ore. – Police are asking for the public’s help with identifying a man who they say exposed himself near a playground Tuesday night.

The investigation began after a concerned citizen flagged down an officer at around 7 p.m. and reported seeing a man expose himself while children were playing at a playground at the Columbia Trails Apartments, located at 1112 NW 15th St.

The citizen was sitting on the back porch of his apartment when he said he filmed the suspect on his cellphone after he saw the suspect acting suspiciously. The video appears to show the suspect touching himself while looking at the playground, according to Gresham police. The suspect rode away on a blue mountain bike when the citizen confronted him.

The suspect was described a white man, between 30 and 40 years old, wearing a baseball hat, blue jeans and black long sleeve shirt over a light colored shirt.

Anyone who can identify the suspect or have had similar encounters with him should call the Gresham police tip line at 503-618-2719.
